Yoga for Teens
Instructor: Vickie McLane
The timeless art of Yoga brings teens the opportunity to acquire new skills that may ease their transition from childhood to becoming adults.
The breath-work and centering sequences practiced at the beginning of class provide tools that can be taken out into the real world where they may serve as a buffer for peer pressure. The physical postures, called asanas, create physical strength and confidence while relieving mental stress and toxins from the internal organs. Meditation at the end of class allows teens some constructive “me” time as they explore the depths of consciousness.
Starts January 12th (Class requires minimum of 5 students) Ages 16-19 Wednesdays 2:30 pm – 10 week session Ages 13-15 Wednesdays 4:00 pm – 10 week session
